Neil Bowers is an active teacher/coach with many years of competitive and coaching experience, and qualifications across a range of disciplines.
Neil has enjoyed a successful competitive career as a swimmer and a water-polo player, both nationally and internationally, counting a Bronze medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Championships among his achievements. With competitive experience in a range of disciplines and multi-sport events, Neil now works directly with swimmers and triathletes, to improve technique and performance.
Having been involved competitively across a range of sports, and with years of experience teaching and coaching across the whole spectrum of ability levels and age groups, Neil aims to bring a wide range of skills and knowledge from different areas to his teaching.
Participation and enjoyment are fundamental to our teaching philosophy, and both are pre-requisites to achieving and maintaining improvements. So, whatever your initial ability level, don’t be intimidated. We aim to be able to pass on our expertise to all, and you may just have the ability to surprise yourself.
Neil has several years experience of organizing open-water swimming tours and workshops in various locations throughout Europe, and we also work directly with other coaches and partner organizations to deliver workshops and courses.
